Room Set Up

The room set up for a conference, event, or workshop plays an important role in how the audience feels, their comfort level, and also helps the speaker achieve expected outcomes. We would greatly appreciate you being able to accommodate our requests listed below unless we have specifically advised you to the use another room set up.

1. A cordless lavaliere microphone for the speaker.
2. A wireless, hands-free microphone may be requested by us for audience participation.
3. For better sound quality, use a speaker system rather than ceiling speakers.
4. Illuminate the speaker's area in the front part of the room so the audience can see the speaker.
5. Certain lights may need to be dimmed based on visual aid equipment used. We will notify you of this request.
6. If the room has a built in sound system, softly played, upbeat music upon attendee's arrival is very welcoming to people.
7. A podium placed at the front of the room. Although our speakers rarely stand at the podium, they may have a need for it during their presentation.
8. When planning the seating, plan to have fewer seats rather than too many seats, which gives an "empty" look to the room.
9. Safely secure any steps from the stage to the main floor.
10. Any special requests will be communicated. These are based on the audience size, speech topic, room size and layout.

Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, please call 800-STAR-139.
