Joan Burge-CEO

Joan Burge is the founder and CEO of Office Dynamics, Ltd., a national leader in the creation of sophisticated professional development programs for all levels of business personnel. With more than 27 years of experience in the administrative business arena, training, entrepreneurship and innovation, Joan empowers business professionals to move beyond task work to higher-level functions so they can meet the ever-changing and increasing demands of today's workplace.

As a national speaker, corporate trainer, consultant, and author, Joan is best known for her Star Achievement Series®, a twelve-part, tri-level, interpersonal skill training curriculum designed to bring out the star performance in every employee. She has also written more than fifteen stand-alone training programs and thirty-two presentations covering over forty topics, ranging from conflict resolution to self-management to coaching practices. In addition, she has authored comprehensive Instructor Guides and developed an intensive certification program for her Star Achievement Series®. Her nationally acclaimed programs have resulted in significant increased productivity to major organizations, government agencies, and educational institutions such as Boeing, Caterpillar Inc., Humana Inc., Intel, LensCrafters, The Marriott Corporation, Michigan State University, The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Rockwell Collins, and US Airways.

Joan relates well to all types of business professionals in a variety of industries. After working as a corporate employee for twenty years and then founding her own business in 1990, Joan understands what it is like to be on "both sides of the desk." As such, she has the unique ability to bond with and understand the management team's needs as well as the employees' needs. She then helps turn potential talent into demonstrable competence as she inspires people to operate at their full potential.

Joan is a member of the National Speakers Association, The Southern Nevada Human Resource Association, and The American Society for Training and Development. She also serves on the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Advisory Board. Joan has authored numerous training programs, twelve workbooks, two books, and regularly contributes articles to professional and trade publications. She is the editor of the Office Life e-newsletter and is the co-founder of Gerome Productions, which produces training videos and CD-ROMs.
