With each message we'll introduce a speaker and share with you a little bit about them as well as why we chose them to be a presenter at the 19th Annual Conference for Administrative Excellence.
Lisa Olsen, Professional Speaker, Trainer & Coach
Lisa Olsen is dedicated to the administrative career and helping administrative professionals recognize their potential. She is a seasoned and experienced C-level executive assistant with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare and engineering environment. In 2007, she took her passion and presentation skills on the road launching her part-time business, Wingspan. As an enthusiastic speaker, trainer and coach, she is known for providing engaging motivational and educational keynotes and conference workshops. Her content is always relevant and fresh, focusing on the issues that keep admins at the top of their game. She embraces every opportunity to build relationships and bring out the best in others.
A business and human resources graduate, Lisa spent 5 years teaching business communications and office procedures courses at the junior college level. She has advised women on professional image, self-confidence and leadership skills and has been a mentor to adult students returning to the workplace. She is a past member of the Advisory Council for the Administrative Professionals Conference, and has been a repeat presenter at the IAAP International Forum, the APC Conference, the Office Dynamics Annual Forum, the San Francisco Womens’ Initiative, the Sacramento Professional Business Women’s Conference and the Central CA Women’s Conference. Her first book, When Work Becomes You, It’s All About the Fit, was published in 2007 and she is currently working on her second book.
As a long time faculty member for the popular Especially for Youth program sponsored by Brigham Young University, Lisa enjoys facilitating dynamic summer workshops for teens on integrity, leadership principles and personal development.
Lisa resides in Sacramento, CA where she is the Executive Assistant to the President at Clark Pacific.

Much has been written about the elusive goal of work-life balance. Many of us try to juggle things and endlessly search for some kind of balance in life. It can be a very appealing notion; juggling all areas of life and getting things right in order to feel great. More often than not, the more we strive for balance, the more we feel exhausted and stressed. The truth is there are some myths and truths that bring clarity to what really constitutes balance. Unlike a balance scale, a balanced life is not symmetrical. Living a balanced life is about integrating those aspects of your life that are truly important to you and making choices when necessary, to get different results.
