Happy Administrative Professionals Day - It's Just the Beginning

This is our last day of our Blog-a-thon. First, I want to wish all of you a very special Administrative Professionals Day. I hope you have a great one. We have had a very exciting first Admin Blog-a-thon and your contributions have been beyond my expectations. I almost feel a little melancholy knowing today is the last day. It’s the same feeling I get when I’ve completed teaching a series of workshops to a group. It’s bitter sweet. Deep down, I see endings as a beginning to other things. So I hope you learned much through the daily posts and the comments Please carry all these great teachings forward and implement them in your job.

Good news: I’m not going anywhere! I will always be here. And I will go back to my weekly Blog. Please keep coming back and continue spreading the Blog to your peers. We have miles to go and many opportunities to cease.

    • Happy Administrative Professionals Day! I was out running errands for my manager today and I got a surprise call from her. She called to wish me a Happy Administrative Professionals Day. We had a nice talk and she made me feel very appreciated. Just thought I would share this with everyone. Thanks Joan for this wonderful opportunity to read great advice and hear from other admins! I am sad that this is ending. I have looked forward to blogging everyday but like you said this is really a new beginning because I have learned so much.

    • A Very happy Administrative Professionals Day to all ! For all those who have lost your jobs as being admins, I can only say that this great profession has taught us to take challenges in our stride and taught us multiple skills. Keep in touch with other admins in your locality/industry, and network with local chapters to get back to track. Try new relevant roles that utilise the skills you learnt over the years and do not be afraid to take risks. If you persist, each one of you would go a long way. <br><br>It's sad to note that this event comes to an end but as Joan says, all endings are also new beginnings. After all the knowledge we gained over the last few weeks, it is now on each of us to pick a few and put them into practise in our daily life.<br><br>Thank you, Joan, for being an inspirational force to reckon. I will look forward to reading your posts regularly.
