- I just watched the video clip of Joan on Fox News. She was great and did a fine job presenting the soft skills necessary to excel in the Administrative profession. I noticed the interviewer had a copy of Joan’s new book Underneath It All. During the Forum in San Diego last October the attendees were told we would receive a copy of that book. Is there any word regarding when we might receive the book? Thank you.

- Excellent feedback, everyone! T, I wanted to address your question about the book, Underneath It All. Yes, the anchor did have a copy in hand! We had some books drop shipped to Joan's hotel in Grand Rapids for tonights event. We also just received our copies here at the office yesterday, which is very exciting. Joan will be arriving back to the office on Thursday and will be personally autographing copies of the books that will go out to all the 2008 Forum attendees. You should be receving your copy soon. - I've just watched your news clip and am truly impacted by your overall presence - composure, professionalism and confidence. Being a new Joan Burge fan, I have to thank you for giving me the tools I've needed for quite awhile to continue in the "business". My last five years have been on the miserable side and I truly believe it was due to the chemistry mismatch. I am at the same company and same department but with a new but seasoned executive who knows the value of what an assistant can provide. My excitement for my position is back again. - Hello Everyone!Thank you much for your kind words about today's segment on FOX. I was so pleased that Tracy, who interviewed me, showed a real interest in the profession. I'm glad I was able to promote the administrative profession in a positive light to a large audience. I hope to have similar opportunities in the future as I really care and believe in this profession.It's been a full day. Tonight, I spoke to about 50 admins from Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo on topics from my new book, Underneath It All. We had a marvelous time. This was a very up close & personal event. The admins stayed long after the program to ask questions and network. We had a wonderful event and I thank the Grand Rapids Chapter for hosting it.Thanks to all of you. - Hi Joan, I was very fortunate to attend your presentation last night and found it both educational as well as enlightening. I am one of the lucky few assistants that has a very special relationship with my upline. I left feeling invigorated and blessed to have my position. I'd like to know if you have any suggestions for conferences/seminars I can attend to enhance my skills as well as networking with other assistants.
