"Taking it to the Streets" Select-city tour with Joan Burge

Chicago, IL - May 20, 2010

Since 1990, my work has involved mostly on-site training (other than our Annual Administrative Conference and World Class Assistant workshop.) In the early years, I tried a few small public workshops when I lived in Michigan but did not spend much time pursuing that arena. However, for more than 10 years, Administrative Professionals have been asking me to come to their city and present a full-day workshop. Since hundreds of you cannot come to me...

I am happy to announce that I am "Taking it to the Streets" this year and Chicago is my first stop-- Thursday, May 20, 2010! I will be presenting the best of the best from my unsurpassed-selling book, Become An Inner Circle Assistant. Also, I will be giving attendees a close-up look at Adminology™!

I am excited about going out to admins to share my 38+ years of experience, knowledge, and best secrets on being successful in this profession. I value all of you who have been following me and Office Dynamics for years. Those of you who are new to us, I can't wait to meet you! Personally meeting every admin that I can means a great deal to me and I hope you are one of those whose hands I will personally shake!

The Q Center in St. Charles, Illinois will be the place for this grand event. Seating will be limited so do not delay!

And . . . remember to tell your friends. See you in May!

    • I hope you are scheduled in the NY area this year. I'm working with my firm to get you to give a seminar here. Have you ever thought about conducting a seminar where we can logon to our PC and watch live? Any handouts or study materials can be sent via email or mailed. I would pay for that, as I'm sure many would.

    • I am so very bummed! I have wanted for many years to hear Joan in person - Chicago is my backyard but we have a large company event that I have to assist with scheduled for the same day.

    • I may not be in a unique position. Since my husband, a research synthetic organic chemist, was impacted by the Wilmington research site closure at AstraZeneca, the possibility of relocation looks very likely as he searchs for other job opportunities. This would mean that I'd have to resign from my position at my company, which I've enjoyed greatly for the past 6 years. What advice could anyone give for someone having to look for new administrative opportunities? I've supported senior level executives, including the company president and have done sales forecast reports and event planning. Ironically, there's a chance we may end up in the Chicago area should a job opportunity pan out for my husband (he has a job interview there).
