Preparing for your annual review can be somewhat nerve wracking but not if you are prepared!
Just think the three P’s:
Packaging – how are you going to package your information that you plan to present to your executive? You should provide this information to your executive at least 3 weeks prior to your review. This will allow them time to look at your ideas and your accomplishments and take your input into consideration. How are you going to package yourself the day of your review? You want to look confident and powerful!
Promoting – your accomplishments, skills developed, how have you streamlined process, how have you saved your company money, are there any skills you have learned, new technical tools you have embraced – what have you done that truly impacts the bottom line?
Presenting – how do you plan to present your information on review day? Present a positive attitude – you may not get the increase you hope for due to these tough times, hang in there – don’t give up. Eventually the rewards will come and employers value employees that maintain a positive attitude.
If you know how to package, promote and present – you will get the raise you deserve.
