• It's wonderful to be recognized and more importantly to love what you're doing.

• I am so lucky to work for someone who regularly recognizes my work - which I absolutely love to do! I just also wanted to note - it's especially important to recognize staff who step-up and fill in during our absences. In my office we have several people who regulary step-up and fill in at the Reception desk - I always make sure to keep a list and send them a note of thanks during "Admin" week.

    • It is nice to be recognized for your efforts and abilities, but even if no one in my office mentions APW/D, I take great satisfaction in my work and know that my contributions matter.

    • I agree it feels so nice to be recognized for all the hard work that you do and all the long hours that you put in.

    • I am soooooo excited!!! This is to publicly acknowledge and thank my manager for approving (funds and time off from work) my request to attend the "Professional Administrative Assistant's Conference" tomorrow (Wednesday, April 22nd) at the Santa Fe Station Hotel. I am looking forward to the various workshops and the keynote speaker (Jan Dacri, leading expert on "Memory Secrets"). What a memorable and rewarding "Administrative Professionals Day" this will be. My manager has contributed a great deal to my professional growth by encouraging me to join a professional organization. I recently joined the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP), NTS Chapter. I look forward to the monthly meetings and interacting with other Administrative Professionals.

    • As the Admin Team at Scottsdale Insurance Company, we strive to recognize each other, as well as help! This morning, the core committee delivered "Goodie Bags" to each admin. The bags are filled with little things, like pocket note pads, new pens and mini markers, a luggage tag, a movie ticket, hand sanitizer, a finger nail file and tea bags and a cookie!! It is just a little reminder that we are here for each other and appreciate each and every one of the team!!

    • Thank you.
Everyone at work has thanked me for my assistance today and told me how much they appreciate me. It has been really nice.

    • For some of us, Admin Day comes and goes without so much as a thank you. It wasn't a surprise, actually. In fact, I'd almost forgotten it was Admin Day myself, until I saw the flowers start streaming in. This is why I've lost the love for my job. The people around me have little to no appreciation for what I do. Some corporate cultures you just can't change.
